Homemade Snacks! (Granola Bars)
Homemade is healthy! Remember treats are still treats so you should mind your portions!
- Melt 2 tbsp butter in a saucepan with 1/3 cup honey and 1/3 cup brown sugar and a pinch of salt.
- Mix in two cups of rolled oats.
- Mix in 1 cup of each of chopped nuts and dried fruit (you could use coconut flakes, dark chocolate as well)
- Mix in 2-4 tbsp of wheat germ or flax meal.
- Press into a parchment-lined 8 inch square pan.
- Bake 30 minutes at 300 degrees.
- Cool, then cut into bars.
