Hungry? Grab a bar!
I am a huge fan of snacks. Most of the time I recommend snacks that are fruit or vegetables or some combination. However, I understand that at the busiest times in our lives we need a healthy pre-packaged bar type alternative to get us through to our next meal. Not all bars are created equal! Often bars, even the ones in the nutrition section, are high in calories, sugars, and chemicals. I have found a few options for bars that are a great alternative once in a while when you are on the go. These bars have few and mostly whole food ingredients. Some are only available at health food stores like New Seasons or Whole Foods, but some are more readily available at large grocery chains, Target, or Trader Joes. Remember it is best to use bars like these as options on some days, not everyday.
